Project Description

Thomas Jefferson, Library of Congress

The James Myers Company has been chosen for some of the toughest projects around. Our award-winning restoration work on the dome of the Library of Congress highlights our greatest strengths. As often happens with historic restorations, there is no such thing as symmetry. Each piece making up the dome had to be removed, individually redrawn, recut and replaced using original construction techniques. No two pieces were exactly alike.
